Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled court appearance.  It will take time to wait in line to be screened by security.  Often, at the Will County Courthouse, the line is out the door and down Jefferson Street.  The line, however, moves quickly.  Note that you will need to stay to the left if you have a bag or purse to be screened.  All others will stay to the right to be screened by security.  Cell phones and camara phones are not permitted in the courthouse.

Take the elevator to the third floor and Erin Birt will meet you outside your assigned courtroom approximately 15 minutes prior to your scheduled court appearance.  There are benches along the hallway and corridors for you to sit and conference.  Our attorney will check you in with the clerk so you do not have to worry about entering the courtroom or approaching the clerk until after you speak with Erin Birt.

Please arrive in business casual attire for your court appearance.  You do not have to wear a suit if that is not customary for you.  It is preferred that you do not wear jeans or open toed shoes while in Court. If you are to testify during your court appearance, Erin or our paralegal will have prepared you during an in-person meeting, a remote online meeting, or over the phone at least 24 - 48 hours prior to the court appearance.
