How Weekly Mediation Guidance Helps Parents Communicate with Clarity

Our 90 Day Restorative Divorce Workbook

A Calm, Structured Process Creates Better Long-Term Agreements

The Client's Core Question:
“How do we stay grounded and avoid constant conflict?”

Many parents feel overwhelmed by uncertainty and lack of structure. Our clients came to us with thoughts swarming, emotions running high, and a lack of awareness about their past issues that lead them to divorce. They both had different questions and concerns, but one theme united all of the questions: "How do we stay grounded and avoid conflict when we hate each other?"

Practitioner Approach:
As a mediator, I don't have a magic wand, and I am not able to fix anything overnight. I have, however, noticed a pattern over the years, that when my clients are in the midst of chaos and negative emotions, structure is needed to restore balance and personal peace. Therefore, I created resources that when used alongside my legal or mediation services, allow my clients to become grounded again, avoid conflict, and plan for the future. For instance, my 90 Day Restorative Divorce Workbook includes weekly check-ins and guidance to help supplement your legal or mediation services.

“Weekly mediation guidance helped these parents shift from reactivity to clarity, creating room for healthier communication and agreements.” ~ Erin Birt, Mediator & Attorney

The predictable rhythm of weekly check-ins and a clear roadmap provided stability and guidance for this couple.

Value Provided:
The parents that arrived unable to articulate their concerns, anger, and goals, used my structured process and communicated more clearly and built sustainable agreements they could realistically follow.
