Divorce Paperwork

Our client had limited income after devoting most of her adult life to raising children. She retained our firm on a limited scope basis to help her draft divorce paperwork.

The client and the firm agreed to a 4 hour consulting package that provided the client with priority scheduling for up to 1.5 hours of meeting time and 2.5 hours of document drafting time. The client was satisfied with the limited scope representation as it provided her access to justice and an attorney to answer her questions and to ensure that her legal documents would be accepted and approved by the Divorce Court.

Our client handled all other matters on her own, such as the financial disclosures, court appearances, communication with her spouse, and communication with the opposing attorney.  She would not have otherwise had access to justice for her children as she did not qualify for legal aid and did not have sufficient funds for an attorney to represent her on all issues.
