Contemplating Divorce
Our client was in a very difficult marriage and she was wondering if divorce was the right choice for her and her children. She spent countless hours online trying to research what was best for her and her children. She quickly became overwhelmed with all of the options for parenting time and parenting schedules and tried to turn to family and friends for advice but they were always too busy or minimized her challenges.
She felt she needed to turn to a lawyer or mediator with more experience than her friends or family to help find a path toward solutions. What she wanted most was to find a solution to somehow move forward with or without her husband. She wanted a trusted professional that could provide her with support to see her through an extremely emotional and difficult time. She hired our firm because of our attorney's background in both the law and mental health services and our paralegal's background in both legal services and accounting services. She was relieved to have an attorney that focused on more than litigation and a paralegal that could analyze her finances in house.
Our firm worked with her on developing a divorce exit plan to help her feel comfortable if she ever decides to divorce. We also came up with a reconciliation plan (similar to a post nuptial plan) for how she can stay married and become knowledgeable about her financial circumstances so she feels independent and secure. After working with our firm, our client felt heard, supported, and relieved to have answers and a plan forward.
